In a forced draft, pressure atomizing gun type oil burner, air is moved to the combustion area by a blower mounted inside of the burner housing. The squirrel cage blower is directly driven by the burner motor. Air enters the blower through bands, an outer and an inner, which may be moved to control the amount of air which may be moved by the blower. Air adjustments should be relatively permanent and should not change unless the conditions in which the burner operates change.
