Non-adjustable, non-resetting safety device which protects the system against excessive pressures. the burst disk is an artificial weak point in the pressure handling portion of the cleaning system. When pressure exceeds the point at which the disk is designed to rupture, the disk bursts and the system pressure is relieved, The disk is engineered to burst at a certain pressure, usually a bit above the machine’s rated pressure, thus allowing for normal pressure spikes. After the disk has ruptured, it cannot be repaired and must be replaced.
